Creepy Quiet

We've finally moved the machines out of our garage and into a colocation center. We have the T-1 scheduled to be turned off tomorrow, and everything is all shut down now.

...

And the garage is now really really eerily quiet.

It's positively disturbing. I walk into the room, and my instincts are screaming "Augh! The machines are broken!"

This will take getting used to.

The frighteningly unearthly sound of:

silence

For me, the Sound of Doom would be a buzzing humm and the beeps of half a dozen UPSs, but with luck the marine battery will change the frequency at which I'm subjected to that... =^.^=

(Requires the UPS to be dumb enough to not care how big a battery it's hooked up to.)

Heh!

I feel that way when the power goes out here (which it does frequently) and we end up shutting down all the machines.

House. So quiet. NOooOOOO!
