The space shuttle has the glide ratio of a pair of pliers. As long as it's aerodynamically stable, this will glide if launched fast enough =^.^=.

I suspect that the flawed control surfaces would make this spin more than glide, if it were actually light enough to achieve a human powered glide.

Its maiden flight seems to indicates that no, it does not glide well with normal human powered launching.
